Why Psychotherapy?
Do you feel uneasy, or disquieted? Or stuck, or sad? Some people struggle to feel that anything is worthwhile. Others feel in a rut, and very anxious. Suffering comes in many forms. Psychotherapy of this kind is talk therapy, a way of discussing openly and honestly in a confidential space, with a person who is well trained, experienced, and suited to the work.
I am currently working 100% online. The type of therapy I work with is known as psychodynamic psychotherapy, which is talk therapy that includes a focus on greater self-knowledge and understanding, and includes work with unconscious (subconscious) thoughts, emotions and processes. I'm not here to tell you what to do, but to help you come to your own decisions, and to help you grow into yourself to a greater extent as a human being.
What is psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy can help relieve symptoms such as anxiety and depression, it can help with relationship issues, or with recurring patterns of behaviour or thought that we'd like to move on from.
Therapy relies upon regular meetings with your therapist, in which you can talk freely in a confidential and non-judgemental space. I will listen carefully and empathically and help to guide you to realizations about underlying issues that may be holding you back.
Narcissist survivors' club
Although I work more generally as a psychotherapist, the majority of my practice involves working with adults who've survived narcissistic environments. Please feel free to read a few of my articles on this site if you're interested in this approach.
